An Update on the Future of Epiphany House
1st October 2026: The Trustees of the Epiphany Trust (Truro) Ltd are pleased to share an update on the emerging vision for the future of Epiphany House.
Over recent months, the Trust has been discerning how Epiphany House can enter a new chapter: building on its long history as a place of Christian hospitality, prayer and community, while developing a sustainable model for the future.
At the heart of this emerging vision is the hope that Epiphany House will become a Christ-centred community of prayer, hospitality and enterprise, growing through the grace of God into a Centre for Celtic Christianity for Cornwall.
We hope to continue and develop the House as a place for ministry, prayer, formation, retreats and training, while also opening it more widely to the community. Plans being explored include well-being and educational activities, a café, an Enterprise Hub for local people and organisations, and an expanded programme of events and hospitality, including retreats, celebrations, wedding and funeral receptions, and other gatherings.
The residential areas of Epiphany House will also play an important part in creating a financially sustainable future for the House, with plans for guest accommodation alongside longer-term residential use.
Underpinning all of this will be a continuing rhythm of prayer, spirituality and community life. We are particularly grateful for the presence of the Another Way community, currently based at Truro Cathedral and under its governance, and the Community of the Epiphany, a new monastic community which has been developing at Epiphany House since 2024.
To help turn this vision into reality, the Trustees are delighted to announce the appointment of Mischa Jones as Strategic Lead and Steve Jones as Operational Lead.
Both will work part-time, alongside the Trustees and the wider community, to develop the House’s mission, operations and long-term sustainability.
This is an exciting period of transition for Epiphany House, and there is much still to develop and discern. We would greatly value the prayers, encouragement and support of everyone who has been part of the life of the House, as well as those discovering Epiphany House for the first time.
